About me
I am a Specialist Paediatric Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years' experience working across the NHS and private sector. I support children, young people, parents, and families who are navigating physical health conditions, emotional distress, and the psychological impact of illness and medical treatment.
My clinical work focuses on anxiety, stress, adjustment to health conditions, medically unexplained or functional symptoms, and trauma related to healthcare experiences. I have extensive experience working alongside medical teams and with families from diverse cultural and international backgrounds.
As a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, I am trained in a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy collaboratively to each individual or family. My work draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative and systemic approaches, and trauma-informed care. I place particular emphasis on helping people feel understood, supported, and able to regain a sense of confidence and agency.
Alongside clinical practice, I contribute to service development, training, and research-informed work, ensuring that my practice is grounded in current evidence while remaining flexible and person-centred.
I believe psychological distress is a natural response to difficult circumstances, particularly when health, uncertainty, or change are involved. Therapy offers a space to make sense of these experiences, build coping strategies, and reconnect with what matters most.
I offer a free, brief telephone consultation to discuss concerns and explore whether therapy feels like the right fit.
