About me

I am an HCPC-registered Senior Clinical Psychologist with over four years' post-qualification experience, currently working within an NHS specialist perinatal mental health service. Alongside my NHS role, I offer private therapy to children, young people and adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

My approach is collaborative and compassionate, with therapy tailored to each person's individual needs. My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), DBT, ACT and trauma-focused CBT. As a qualified EMDR therapist, I support people to process difficult or overwhelming experiences safely and at a pace that feels manageable. An integrative style allows flexibility in how we work together, drawing on different therapeutic models depending on what feels most helpful.

A strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. Opening up can feel vulnerable, particularly when speaking about trauma, loss or deeply personal experiences, so creating a warm, non-judgmental and containing space is a priority. Together, we can explore patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviours, develop self-compassion, and build practical tools to help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

My specialist area of interest is perinatal mental health. Support is offered from preconception and fertility journeys through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. This often includes birth trauma, pregnancy or baby loss, anxiety, depression, OCD, and the emotional adjustments that can come with becoming a parent. Work in this area may also involve strengthening attachment and bonding where this has felt difficult, as well as birth preparation support, such as anxiety management for labour and trauma-informed birth planning. Providing psychologically informed support during this significant and often overwhelming period is something I feel deeply committed to.

I also have experience working with individuals from South Asian backgrounds and understand how cultural values, religion and family expectations can shape mental health and influence the process of seeking support. Therapy is offered in a culturally sensitive and respectful way, with care taken to consider the wider cultural and familial context that may be important to you.

Both face-to-face and online appointments are available. Please get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute consultation.

Please note that I am currently offering virtual appointments only.
