About me

I am a dual-accredited Consultant Rheumatologist and Internal Physician with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex connective tissue disease and vasculitis, particularly Giant Cell Arteritis, Takayasu arteritis and polymyalgia rheumatica. I am the joint Clinical Lead for Rheumatology at Manchester Royal Infirmary, where I deliver my NHS practice within the region's largest tertiary rheumatology and vasculitis centre and contribute to regional pathway development and multidisciplinary care. Alongside this subspecialist work, I manage the full spectrum of general and complex rheumatological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, axial spondyloarthritis (including ankylosing spondylitis), inflammatory arthritis associated with inflammatory bowel disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sj�gren's syndrome, systemic sclerosis, inflammatory myopathies, IgG4-related disease and soft tissue musculoskeletal disorders. My private practice is based at the OrthTeam Centre in Manchester. I have a particular interest in complex diagnostic work and enjoy working closely with physiotherapy, radiology, surgical and sports medicine colleagues to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care.
