Research interests
Research and Improving Care
Alongside my clinical work, I have led research to improve care for older people, particularly in falls, bone health, and medical education. I have written over 25 papers and book chapters, and my work has received several awards,
National Work to Improve Bone Health in Wales
In 2020, I was appointed National Clinical Lead for Osteoporosis and Fragility Fractures by the Welsh Government. In this role, I have led national work to improve fracture prevention, develop Fracture Liaison Services (FLS), and strengthen osteoporosis care across Wales.
I organised Wales’ first national FLS conference in 2022, which helped secure a Welsh Government commitment for all Health Boards to implement FLS by 2024.
Personal interests
My personal interests are spending time with nature walks, hiking, running and gardening. I enjoying cooking with family and friends.
