About me

Mr Kabir is a Consultant General and Upper Gastro-intestinal (GI)/Bariatric (Weight loss) Surgeon.

Mr Kabir completed his surgical training in the West Midlands, gaining the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and undertaking the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England�approved fellowship in Benign Upper GI and bariatric surgery at the University Hospital of North Midlands.

Mr Kabir specialise in all aspects of general surgery and weight loss surgery - including revision and re-do procedures for weight regain or complications from previous weight loss operations such as gastric band removal, reconnection of band, sleeve-to-bypass, gastric band to bypass conversion, and bypass reversal.

Mr Kabir has extensive experience in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery for:

Abdominal wall hernia repair (including inguinal, femoral, umbilical, epigastric, and incisional hernias).

Acid reflux and hiatus hernia repair.

Complex gallbladder stones and bile duct disease including patients with previous bariatric surgery.

Surgical feeding tube placement for nutritional support.

Weight loss (Bariatric) surgery and revisional procedures for complications post weight loss surgery.

Mr Kabir is also a Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accredited Upper GI endoscopist and trainer, offering diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy - including assessments before and after bariatric surgery and anti-reflux procedures.

Mr Kabir is part of the weight loss multi-disciplinary team (MDT), bile duct stones MDT as well as anti-reflux MDT at Walsall Manor Hospital.

Alongside Mr Kabir's clinical work, he holds an MSc in Medical Education, train resident surgeons, and have presented and published widely at national and international surgical conferences.
