About me

Dr Ashok has been an established substantive Consultant in NHS Grampian and Albyn Hospital for over 20 years having undertaken her post graduate training in the West Midlands and Aberdeen. She currently Chairs the gynaecology redesign group for the new women's Hospital in NHS Grampian.

Dr Ashok treats women with general gynaecological problems including menstrual disturbance, pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, prolapse incontinence and post-menopausal bleeding. She offers pelvic ultrasound scans in a one stop gynaecology clinic and treats women with premenopausal and menopausal problem.
Dr Ashok has extensive operative expertise which includes laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, vaginal and open surgery.
Dr Ashok has been actively involved in surgical training within her speciality and has been in the past the preceptor in Aberdeen for several years for the special interest training modules, benign gynaecology surgery and emergency gynaecology offered by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. As an accredited sub specialist in Reproductive Medicine, she is now Deputy trainer for this sub-speciality in Aberdeen, Grampian being one of the two accredited centres by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology in Scotland. With Dr Ashok's experience in this multifaceted and dynamic subspeciality she offers complex reproductive surgeries both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic including myomectomy.
Dr Ashok provides patient centred and empathetic care, offering holistic support, acknowledging the sensitive nature of reproductive health issues.
