About me

Dr Premila Ashok has been an established Consultant since 2003 both in the NHS and BMI Albyn Hospital. She undertook the majority of her postgraduate and specialty training in Aberdeen and the West Midlands. Dr Ashok currently chairs the Gynaecology Redesign Group for the New Women’s Hospital in NHS Grampian.
Dr Ashok offers a range of Gynaecology services which includes a one stop Gynaecology clinic at BMI Albyn Hospital where pelvic ultrasound scans are undertaken in clinic at the time of initial consultation. Her general Gynaecological practice involves treating women with menstrual disturbance, pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, prolapse, incontinence, vaginal surgery, postmenopausal bleeding and menopausal problems. Her operative expertise includes Vaginal, Laparoscopic and Open surgery.
As an accredited sub-specialist in reproductive medicine and surgery, Dr Ashok also offers fertility treatment at BMI Albyn Hospital. This includes investigations and ovulation induction. Couples requiring assisted reproduction can be referred on a self-funded basis for further treatment.
