About me

Hi, I'm Hayley, welcome to my BUPA profile page.

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner and Clinical Supervisor specialising in therapeutic support for children, young people and families.

I run a private therapy service called Thriving Young Minds based in Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester. I have extensive experience supporting clients with a range of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, confidence and self-esteem, navigating change, managing stress, interpersonal difficulties, family difficulties, self-harm and suicidal ideation.

I have over 15 years experience working in the field of mental health across a variety of settings, from third sector organisations, the NHS and other statutory services, educational settings and in private practice.

My area of specialism is trauma, helping clients to understand the impact of traumatic experiences and empowering them to find ways to heal and move forward with their lives.

I work predominantly with children and young people between the ages of 11-25, however, I also enjoy working with adults and parents, offering bespoke support plans for shorter-term interventions in addition to longer term therapy where required.

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP, demonstrating high professional standards and a commitment to providing safe, ethical, and effective therapy. I am also qualified to support other counsellors and professionals in their practice as a Clinical Supervisor.

I now practice as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist; this means that I use various therapeutic approaches to suit a wide range of client needs. Regardless of the approach that I am using, I pride myself on fostering therapeutic relationships that feel safe, compassionate and empowering.
