About me

Mr Mark Dahill is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. He works privately in Bristol and Bath. He employs modern surgical techniques to address all ankle, foot and toe conditions including bunions, lesser toe corrections, surgery for arthritis of the foot and ankle, and sporting injuries.

Prior to studying medicine, Mr Dahill trained as a physiotherapist at King's College London, enabling him to take a truly holistic approach when treating lower limb injuries and disorders. He works closely with non-surgical colleagues including podiatrists, physiotherapists and orthotists, to offer the most appropriate treatments and always endeavours to avoid surgery where possible. He is the diabetic foot lead for Bristol and has experience in managing patients with more complex medical needs. He combines his physiotherapy, sporting and medical backgrounds to give detailed and friendly care to his patients.

Mr Dahill completed his higher surgical training on the Bristol Rotation and specialist training in Foot and Ankle and Reconstructive Surgery, on the prestigious Exeter Fellowship. He has also completed internationally renowned Fellowships in Trauma and Sports Injuries in Auckland, New Zealand. His research interests include ankle replacement and fusion surgery, and he has a strong background in Quality Improvement for healthcare.
