About me

Mr Peacock completed his undergraduate training at the University of Nottingham, obtaining honours in his intercalated BMedSci degree with research in colorectal surgery.

His urology specialty training took place in the Southwest of England, rotating around centres including the Bristol Urological Institute (BUI) and Cheltenham General Hospital. He undertook a competitive fellowship in robotic pelvic surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospital Guildford, one of the highest volume centres for pelvic surgery in the UK.

He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in Gloucestershire in May 2024, with a subspecialty interest in pelvic oncology. He is a high-volume robotic surgeon, who takes pride in minimising the functional impact of robotic prostate surgery. As well as his interest in prostate and bladder cancer, he can assess and manage general urology conditions, such as benign enlargement of the prostate, penoscrotal issues and erectile dysfunction.

He is involved in research and has regularly presented and published research internationally. He is currently involved in the GRACE and ELIPSE trials at the Trust. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a full member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS).

He is the current Educational Lead for the urology department at Cheltenham General Hospital, taking a central role in the training and development of future surgeons.

Outside of work, Mr Peacock is a keen triathlete and recently completed a half-Ironman in Sweden.

Areas of interest

Investigation and treatments for prostate cancer, including robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy;

Investigation and treatments for bladder cancer, including robotic-assisted laparoscopic cystectomy;

Surgery for prostatic obstruction including day case transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP);

Surgery for the bladder - transurethral resection of bladder (TURBT);

Surgery for the urethra (stricture disease), scrotum (hydrocele, epididymal cyst) and penis (circumcision);

OPD diagnostic procedures including precision point perineal prostate biopsy and flexible cystoscopy;

Management of common urological issues - recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder pain syndrome, prostatitis, overactive bladder and incontinence;

Erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, post-prostatectomy incontinence and erectile dysfunction;
