About me
About Me
I offer counselling and coaching sessions as an experienced individual counsellor, couples counsellor, transitional life coach, and mindfulness life coach. I have been a qualified counsellor for over 30 years, having originally trained at the London School of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an accredited member of the BACP and listed on their approved register of counsellors.
My approach is primarily person-centred, rooted in the belief that each person has the capacity to discover their own answers when supported with the right environment. Alongside this, I draw on additional evidence-based approaches-including CBT and mindfulness-based techniques-to ensure my work is responsive, flexible, and tailored to each individual.
Specialisms and Experience
I bring extensive experience in supporting both adults and teenagers from a wide range of backgrounds. My key areas of expertise include:
Stress and anxiety management - teaching practical tools to calm and regulate the nervous system, while exploring the deeper roots and triggers of anxiety.
ADHD - helping clients understand their challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and build on their strengths.
Inner child trauma - working sensitively with the lasting impact of unresolved childhood experiences, supporting healing, integration, and self-compassion.
Anger management, depression, and communication issues - offering tools to express emotions constructively and promote healthier relationships.
Personal growth and self-awareness - empowering clients to reconnect with themselves and develop a stronger sense of identity and purpose.
I also have substantial experience in bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, family breakdown and divorce, domestic violence, and relationship difficulties.
My work with couples focuses on rebuilding trust and communication, understanding each partner's needs and love languages, and navigating conflict in a safe and constructive way.
In addition, my previous work as a support worker for autistic children has given me valuable insight into the challenges faced by neurodiverse individuals and families.
How I Work
My role is to guide and support you with empathy and compassion, helping you explore and better understand the challenges you are facing. Whether that involves learning strategies to manage anxiety, processing past trauma, or finding new ways to communicate and connect, I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space for your therapeutic journey.
My client base is diverse-ranging from students to individuals in the public eye-and I remain committed to ongoing professional and personal development to ensure the highest standard of care.
