About me

Mr. Raza is an experienced laparoscopic upper GI and general surgeon at the Broomfield and Southend University Hospitals. I have undergone surgical training in various institutions in Kent, Surrey and London.

I passed my FRCS in 2016 and also I have a Masters in Surgical Practice from the University of Kent. I have been working as an Upper GI and general surgical consultant since 2017 before moving to the Mid and South Essex NHS trust. I have interests in innovations and quality improvement in surgical practice and minimally invasive surgery and have published numerous publications in peer reviewed journals.

At the Broomfield and Southend Hospitals, I perform elective and emergency benign upper GI and general surgical procedures. I have also performed more than 3000 laparoscopic gallbladder surgeries and 3000 groin hernia surgeries.
