About me
Mr Kunde is an experienced consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 25 years experience in this speciality. He is the lead consultant for Minimal Access Surgery(Key hole surgery) at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. He has undergone higher surgical training in laparoscopic (keyhole) and
prolapse/pelvic floor surgery in the UK and USA. He also practices private obstetrics and delivers patients at the Portland Hospital and The Westminster Maternity Suite at St Thomas' Hospital in London. His expertise in gynaecological surgery has been useful in managing pregnancies such as placenta praevia (low lying placenta) and pregnancies after previous abdominal operations.
Mr Kunde has also completed a comprehensive speciality training programme of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has the accreditation of the UK Specialist Training Authority. Having trained in high risk obstetrics at highly commended maternity units in Manchester and London, he is equipped with the expertise to manage pregnancy, labour and delivery in healthy women, as well as those with complex medical and pregnancy related conditions..
As one of the senior members of the high risk pregnancy team at St Thomas’, he fully supports normal childbirth and is of the belief that every pregnant woman deserves the best individual care. He demonstrates his commitment to his patients by being accessible to them around the clock throughout the pregnancy. He is known for his calm, sensitive and caring approach, which his patients have found extremely reassuring. Over the years he has acquired a wealth of experience in managing pregnancies with twins, pregnancies following previous caesarean section, pregnancies with fibroids and other high risk pregnancies.
Bringing together his extensive experience and his interest in academia, Mr Kunde has published many research papers in reputed national and international journals. Additionally, he trains senior trainee doctors in techniques of gynaecological laparoscopic and conventional surgery.
