About me

Are you feeling stuck, feeling worried, hopeless or too terrified to be able to get on with things in life. You might wonder if the problem might be anxiety, OCD, trauma, low mood, low motivation, emotional, be experiencing low self-esteem, or specific phobias e.g. emetophobia. These difficulties may show at home, school or work, in relationships with family or friends, and you might have stopped doing the things you used to enjoy. Your goals might include - to understand the problem, get back on track, manage better in anxiety-provoking situations or with your mood.
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) Psychotherapist, and have worked in mental health for 10 years+ mostly with young people, children & parents in the NHS, charities, schools and private practice. CBT, the most recommended therapy by NICE, can help us understand problems and explore how to change things. I adapt for neurodiversity also.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is central to effective therapy. My approach is non-judgmental, collaborative and empowering, working with clients to help them achieve meaningful change and become the best version of themselves. Clients often describe me as warm, personable and relaxed. Please feel free to arrange for a consultation.

Areas of interest

I work with young people from age 12 onwards, and parent & child under 12 to help them work through their stress, distress (anxiety; low mood; trauma; OCD; phobia; sleep problems; exams stress; low motivation and low self-esteem) and towards their hopes and goals. I accommodate for neurodiversity e.g. ADHD; Autism; etc. I have experience with ARFID and eating disorders, and self-harm and emotional dysregulation. I include Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Non-Violence Resistance approaches if appropriate.
