About me

I am a Consultant Community Paediatrician with over 10 years' experience working within NHS community paediatric services, providing specialist assessment and care for children and young people with a wide range of developmental, behavioural, and learning needs.

I currently work as a Clinical Quality Lead, where I am actively involved in service development, clinical governance, and maintaining high standards of safe, evidence-based care. My clinical practice is centred on supporting children and families through comprehensive, holistic assessments and clear, compassionate communication.

I have extensive experience in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental conditions, with a particular interest in early childhood development, especially children under five years of age. My areas of expertise include:
� Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
� Developmental delay and learning difficulties
� Special Educational Needs (SEN)
� Behavioural and emotional concerns in early childhood

I work closely with families, schools, early years settings, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that children receive timely diagnoses, appropriate support, and practical recommendations tailored to their individual needs.

I obtained my MBBS from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH), having previously completed MRCPCH training. I am committed to continuing professional development and delivering high-quality, child-centred care in line with UK best practice.
