About me

I am a fellowship-trained Consultant ENT Surgeon and I specialise in diseases of the ear and hearing (otology) in both adults and children, in addition to a wide range of general ENT conditions. I work as an NHS Consultant at Portsmouth University Hospitals NHS Trust and privately at Medicana Hospital, Winchester.

I began my surgical training in London, before completing higher surgical training in ENT surgery across the Wessex region (Hampshire).

I undertook additional fellowship training in Advanced Otology, Hearing Implants, and Skull Base Surgery at St George's Hospital, London. This refined my skills in managing complex ear and auditory disorders.

During my surgical training I was also awarded the prestigious Wessex School of Surgery Human Factors Fellowship and completed a Diploma in Legal Medicine, reflecting my commitment to patient-focused, evidence-based practice.

I am actively involved in clinical research, contributing to the advancement of ENT care on a national level. I have a strong passion for medical education and play an active role in supervising and mentoring junior surgical colleagues within the NHS.

My clinical expertise focuses on the management of chronic ear conditions such as cholesteatoma, otosclerosis and eardrum perforations, with a strong emphasis on hearing restoration, including ossiculoplasty and bone conduction hearing implants. In addition, I regularly manage patients with sudden hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, glue ear and eustachian tube dysfunction.

I regularly perform a wide range of procedures, including:

Middle ear reconstruction (tympanoplasty & ossiculoplasty)

Myringoplasty (eardrum repair)

Treatment of cholesteatoma (combined approach tympanoplasty & mastoid surgery)

Stapedectomy for otosclerosis

Bone Conduction hearing implants for hearing loss

Intra-tympanic steroid injections

Grommets for glue ear

Bony & soft tissue meatoplasty

Removal of Exostoses

Tonsillectomy + adenoidectomy

Microsuction ear wax removal
