About me

Sarp Keskin is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Stone Lead at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and an Honorary Visiting Professor of Urology at Koc University, Istanbul. He is an Associate Professor with a clinical and academic focus on kidney stone disease and endourology. He qualified in medicine and completed higher surgical training in urology, holding MD and MS research degrees, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons [FRCS(Urol)] and a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU).

Sarp trained in centres across the UK and internationally. His development has included experience at leading institutions such as MD Anderson Cancer Center USA, Imperial College London, Oxford University Hospitals and UCLH, along with collaborative work with colleagues in Turkey. This background supports a practice that blends evidence, innovation and pragmatic service improvement.
He offers comprehensive assessment and treatment for urological problems, with particular expertise in kidney stones and BPH, focusing on minimally invasive endourology. His stone service includes shockwave lithotripsy (SWL), ureteroscopy with laser stone fragmentation and dusting, and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). He also manages lower urinary tract symptoms and benign prostatic enlargement, offering balanced, patient-centred pathways that include lifestyle measures, medication and minimally invasive surgical therapies where appropriate.

As Stone Lead at OUH, Sarp is engaged in service modernisation and adoption of new technology. His interests include high-power holmium and thulium fibre laser platforms, single-use flexible ureteroscopes, suction sheaths and digital endoscopic systems to improve efficiency and safety. He is active in training and quality improvement across the stone pathway.

Sarp believes that clinical research and audit make care better. His academic interests include kidney stone disease, theatre utilisation and surgical pathway optimisation, and prioritisation systems in elective surgery. He presents his work nationally and internationally and publishes in peer-reviewed journals. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams and industry partners on surgical technology and digital health solutions that can translate into practical gains for patients.
In private practice (Oxford Urology Ltd) he provides continuity of care across NHS and private settings.
