About me

I'm an experienced Clinical Psychologist offering online and face-to-face therapy for people seeking a safe, inclusive, reflective and informed space to work through challenges and move toward greater self-understanding, clarity, calm and confidence.

Since qualifying in 2012, I've offered evidence-informed psychological therapies with a wide range of people experiencing multiple difficulties including low self-esteem, anxiety, low mood, sexual difficulties, unwanted sexual experiences, and the longer-term impact of trauma.

I'm particularly experienced in enabling people to navigate the intersection between physical health, systemic challenges, identity and emotional wellbeing. I tailor the psychological models and methods I use to each person (or couple) I work with guided by their goals, values, strengths, challenges, cultural contexts and personal histories. I often draw on an integrative approach that combines Compassion-Focused Therapy with elements of Systemic and Narrative Therapy, while also incorporating techniques from CBT, Sex Therapy, and values-based psychology as is useful. This flexible way of working allows me to meet you where you are, adapting the therapy to fit your unique circumstances.

One area in which I often work is with people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who are facing overwhelm, multiple life demands, self-criticism and a sense of depletion or a loss of 'who am I' those wanting to connect with their sense of self, develop a life that feels worth having, rebuild confidence and navigate challenging times with wisdom.

Having been Head of Service in leading NHS HIV, sexual health and sexual difficulties services, I have specialist expertise in working with people living with HIV, HSV (herpes), and those facing challenges in how they or others view them, how their bodies are working, sex lives or relationships. I'm passionate about offering safe and effective therapeutic spaces to people living with the impact of stigma, marginalisation and the range of ways that oppression shows itself.

My therapeutic approach is holistic, warm, and collaborative. I aim to honour how your mind, body, and social world all interact to shape your wellbeing. My goal is to create a space that is compassionate, respectful, and effective, where you can explore what truly matters to you and move toward a more fulfilling, intentional and alive life.
