About me

Dr Helena Blowers is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience working in psychology and mental health services in the NHS. She has completed further training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy).?

Helena specialises in therapy with people who have experienced trauma or difficulties in their past which continue to affect them now. Helena will work collaboratively with you to formulate your difficulties and provide a safe and compassionate space for you to work through those. Being a Clinical Psychologist means that Helena is trained in various therapeutic models in addition to those named above and can tailor the therapy to your needs using an eclectic approach, incorporating resources from various models as needed.?

Helena also completed an MSc in Psychology of Sport & Exercise and her experience of high level competitive golf sees her well suited to working with golfers and other sports people who want to manage the various stress and anxiety and other psychological impact that can arise from competitive sport.

Areas of interest

Helena is nearing the end of training as a Cognitive Analytic Therapy Practitioner and has an interest in working relationally with people.
