About me

Sam San is a Specialist MSK Podiatrist at Pure Sports Medicine, Moorgate, with a strong background in NHS and private practice. She works closely with Consultant Podiatric Surgeons supporting with pre-operative local anaesthesia ankle blocks and multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat complex foot and lower limb conditions.

Sam graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from the University of East London in 2020 and completed an MSc in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London in 2023.

Her clinical experience includes the management of acute and chronic sports injuries, biomechanical and gait-related conditions, diabetic foot infections, ulceration, nail surgery, and routine podiatry care. She has a particular interest in helping people stay active�whether training for an event, returning to exercise, or simply aiming to walk pain-free.

Sam has supported athletes at major endurance events including the London Marathon and the Marathon des Sables ultramarathon as part of the medical teams, providing podiatric care to professional and amateur runners in extreme environments.

Outside of clinical practice, Sam holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, giving her valuable insight into the physical demands and injury patterns of combat sports.

She uses a holistic, evidence-based approach, focusing on rehabilitation, orthotic therapy, injury prevention, and patient education to support long-term recovery and performance.

Sam practices as an MSK Podiatrist at Pure Sports Medicine in the Moorgate clinics.

Her specialist interests lie in lower-limb biomechanics and gait analysis, the prescription of foot orthoses, and the management of sports and exercise-related injuries.
