About me

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed or just don't understand why you are not feeling "yourself" any more?

We all face challenges and difficult situations in our daily lives. Sometimes, these personal difficulties can make us feel alone and unable to manage our feelings. Left unresolved, we can feel helpless to unravel these distressing feelings and emotions on our own.

I can offer you a supportive, non-judgemental, safe space where, through counselling, we can explore whatever aspect of your life you may wish to better understand or change. By understanding why you feel anxious and overwhelmed, you can gradually increase your sense of well-being and be able to face those challenges that life throws at you.

Together, we will develop your coping skills to enable you to understand and change patterns of behaviour. By gaining control of your life, you will be able to resolve those difficulties and live a much happier and more fulfilling life.

I have 14 years of counselling experience in a variety of settings in many hospitals, charities, and schools, as well as my own private practice.

I have a lot of experience delivering online video counselling using tools such as Zoom.

I offer counselling for many issues such as low mood, anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, loss and bereavement, and personal development or life choices.

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked as a midwife for 13 years. My combination of counselling and midwifery experience enables me to have a deep understanding of the emotional trauma that people can experience before, during, and after pregnancy and childbirth.

I have worked for the last 7 years as a counsellor for Petals, a baby loss bereavement charity, where I provide specialist counselling in all aspects of infertility, pregnancy and neonatal loss, and pregnancy related trauma.

I work with individuals for both short and long term open-ended counselling.

NOTE: at the moment, I am temporarily unable to offer face-to-face sessions, and continue to offer counselling sessions via online video meeting (e.g. Zoom) or telephone if you prefer.

I offer a free initial video or telephone consultation where we discuss the issues that you want to bring to counselling and how we will work together to help you achieve your goals. If you are unsure about whether you would prefer counselling via video meeting, this is a good way to find out.
