About me

When emotions become confusing or overwhelming, therapy helps you learn to feel them without being flooded, to understand what they're signalling and to process them so you can move forward with greater calm and control.
I specialise in working with anxiety, attachment issues and relational patterns and difficulties that affect self-esteem, confidence, and connection. I also support people managing trauma, emotional neglect, burnout, perfectionism, eating disorders, addiction, the impact of sexual abuse, neurodiversity and grief. These experiences often overlap, and our work focuses on helping you understand and regulate what's happening inside - emotionally, relationally and physiologically.
I work with adults and young people (10+) who want to make sense of their emotional and relational patterns and learn practical ways to feel more regulated and resilient. My approach is warm, direct and trauma-informed. Together, we explore how your nervous system reacts to stress and how you can bring it back into balance. We look at what triggers old defences and how to build the capacity to stay connected to yourself and to the things that matter most in your life.
My core training is both person-centred and psychodynamic, which means we work with empathy and curiosity while also exploring the deeper roots of your struggles. Together, we'll look at how past experiences and attachment patterns influence the present and whether those patterns are still helping or holding you back. The work often involves identifying the protective strategies you've developed such as overthinking, avoidance, people-pleasing or emotional control and replacing them with understanding and self-compassion.
My practice is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from contemporary understandings of emotional regulation, attachment theory and the nervous system. Sessions balance reflection with practical skill-building, learning to recognise what's happening in your body, naming emotions accurately and developing tools to stay grounded when things feel too much.
Therapy isn't about getting rid of emotion, it's about learning to understand and work with it. My role is to guide you through that process helping you translate what your feelings are telling you and supporting you as you build a stronger, steadier relationship with yourself. Clients have described the work as clarifying, empowering and transformative - a place where understanding becomes the foundation for real change.
