About me
Hello and thanks for reading my profile. I am an accredited Counsellor offering a warm, non-judgemental space at my private practice called Willow Tree Counselling, in which I hope you feel safe to share the issues that are important to you. My office is situated in central Wrexham and just a short walk from the town centre and there is free parking outside.
I will not offer advice but I will try to understand what life is like for you as I believe that being truly heard along with having the space and time to sort through the things that are troubling you can help you find your own answers.
The therapeutic services I offer are tailored to the needs of the individual as I recognise that we are all unique. My core beliefs are with a person-centred approach which is at the heart of my work. The introduction of creative elements into therapy can help move away from the logic of 'left-brain' processes and into the non-verbal and deeply emotional 'right-brain' processes. Sometimes it is easier to show what something feels like, rather than to try and describe it. This creative approach is open to both adults and young people if required.
As an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I follow a set of ethical principles and guidelines that underpin my practice. I maintain and enhance the quality of my work through regular supervision and continued professional development.
I am working on making my office more accessible for wheelchair users but have the option to use another town centre office if needed and if logistics allow.
