About me
Mr Sirwan Hadad is a Consultant Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon. His current NHS work is at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London. He has expertise in the management of breast cancer and all aspects of breast diseases, including breast lumps, breast infection, benign conditions and risk reduction. He has years experience in breast surgical operations including simple, skin-reducing, skin and nipple-sparing mastectomy with immediate implant-based reconstruction level 1 and 2 oncoplastic breast procedures reduction mammoplasty mastopexy liposuction and lipomodelling partial breast reconstruction with chest wall perforator flap immediate and delayed LD flap, and revisional breast surgery.
Mr Hadad completed his PhD in breast cancer molecular oncology at the University of Dundee, with the Baxter Prize award for best clinical research in 2011. He was then awarded the NIHR Clinical Lecturer Fellowship at the University of Sheffield, during which he completed his Higher Surgical Training including an oncoplastic fellowship position at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, and successfully supervised two PhD students. This led to the award of his certificate of completion of training in general surgery with a specialty interest in breast surgery.
