About me
Hi! I am a Clinical Psychologist and aim to create a nurturing and compassionate space where adults can explore their mental health difficulties and navigate life's toughest transitions. I work across both NHS and private practice providing evidence-based therapies for a range of difficulties from anxiety, to low mood, to trauma and PTSD. Within my current NHS role I specialise in supporting individuals with a history of abuse, neglect and traumatic life experiences.
I recognise that many of our difficulties can have roots in our past experiences, that continue to impact us today. Where it feels helpful for you, we can approach your support with a curiosity about how your past experiences may have shaped your current thoughts and feelings, and tailor your support with this in mind.
It is important to me that we work collaboratively and that therapy is taken at a pace that feels right for you.
Areas of interest
I work with adults between the ages of 18-65 years navigating a range of mental health difficulties and experiences. I can support individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood/depression, stressful life events, phobias, and emotional deregulation as well as other difficulties. I specialise in supporting adults who have experienced significant trauma and adverse life experiences, and may have symptoms of PTSD, or complex trauma/PTSD.
Interventions include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT); Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
