About me
I currently practice as a consultant NHS surgeon within the hepatopancreatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation team at the Royal Free Hospital. My expertise lies in managing a wide range of general surgical conditions alongside complex diseases affecting the liver, biliary tree and pancreas. This includes the treatment of primary and secondary cancers of the liver, biliary tree, gallbladder, and pancreas, in addition to abdominal wall hernias, gallstone disease, and retroperitoneal sarcomas.
I graduated from University College London Medical School and completed the majority of my surgical training within London-based hospitals. My post-specialty fellowships were undertaken at the Royal Free Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital. Furthermore, I conducted extensive research at Barts and The London Medical School and Imperial College London, focusing on the proteomic analysis of cholangiocarcinoma. This work culminated in the award of a research Doctorate in Medicine from the University of London.
Throughout my career, I have performed hundreds of gallbladder and hernia operations, in addition to highly complex abdominal, hepatopancreatobiliary, and sarcoma-related procedures. As a member of the Royal Free Hospital HPB unitone of the largest specialist departments in the UKI frequently manage intricate cases referred to us from across London, the UK, and international healthcare providers.
