About me
I trained at the East Midlands, South Yorkshire and Humberand the North West deaneries from 2007-2012.I was appointed as a consultant rheumatologist in 2013 and am now clinical lead of the rheumatology department at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and visiting professor at the University of Greater Manchester. I am also the departmental audit lead and GIRFT lead.
I have a special interest in early and resistant to treat inflammatory arthritides and musculoskeletal ultrasound. I have numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and am a reviewer for the prestigious 'Rheumatology' journal. I am a supervisor for rheumatology trainees, foundation trainees and GP trainees. I also have a special interest in leading and participating in audits and quality improvement projects that have made a significant impact on improving patient care locally and regionally.
I am a highly experienced rheumatologist who has a thorough and holistic approach to patient care. I provide individualised care based on each patient's specific needs. I believe in clear and open communication with the patients and work closely with them to provide the best possible care.
