About me
Mr Adhikari is a leading Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon based in South West London. He treats all lower limb problems and performs more than 600 operations a year. He has a special interest in knee surgery and deals with surgical as well as non-surgical disorders of the knee. He also specialises in sports knee injuries.
He has pioneered the use of computers and robotics in orthopaedic surgery in the UK and is actively involved in the culture of cartilage cells and transplant for cartilage injuries. He is able to provide full range of customisation to his joint replacements. Over the last few years his focus has been on managing post operative pain and blood loss. He then undertook postgraduate training in orthopaedics at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. He obtained his masters degree in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1990.
In the UK he trained in the North East Thames Registrar Rotation in Orthopaedic Surgery from 1992. Since then he has trained in various aspects of orthopaedic surgery in Austria, Switzerland, the USA and Germany.
