About me

Dr Satpal Arri is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at St Thomas' Hospital, London. He graduated with distinction from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine in 2006, became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2009, and was awarded a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine from King's College London in 2019.

He completed advanced specialist training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at King's College Hospital and St Thomas' Hospital, London. Dr Arri subsequently undertook the highly competitive British Society of Cardiology Interventional Fellowship at Auckland City Hospital, one of the Southern Hemisphere's leading centres for complex coronary and structural heart intervention. He was later appointed Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Auckland City Hospital, where he played a key role in developing innovative cardiology services in rural regions.

Following his return to the UK, Dr Arri was appointed Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at St Thomas' Hospital, London.

A former British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Fellow, Dr Arri completed his doctoral research in coronary physiology, focusing on the role of mental stress as a risk factor for myocardial infarction. He has presented widely at national and international scientific meetings, contributed to over 40 publications in high-impact international journals, and authored multiple book chapters.

Dr Arri specialises in complex coronary and structural heart interventions and provides expert consultation across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, hypertension, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiovascular risk assessment.
