About me

I am a Consultant Cardiologist at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, specialising in both general and interventional cardiology. I provide expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of heart conditions, including palpitations, hypertension, chest pain, atrial fibrillation, breathlessness, heart failure, angina, valvular heart disease, and heart attacks.

My subspecialty expertise is in advanced coronary interventions, including angiography, balloon angioplasty and stent implantation, intravascular imaging, rotational atherectomy, and shockwave therapy for complex coronary disease. I regularly performs procedures for patients with angina and acute myocardial infarction and is part of the on-call rota providing life-saving emergency angioplasty (primary PCI) for NHS Tayside.

I completed his cardiology training in the East of Scotland before undertaking a competitive fellowship in advanced coronary interventions in Somerset. I then joined Musgrove Park hospital, Taunton, Somerset as an interventional cardiologist an Interventional Cardiologist before returning to Dundee in 2024 to take up my current consultant post.

I am actively involved in research, teaching, and training, with affiliations to Dundee Medical School. I have presented nationally, receiving awards for his work at major Scottish cardiology meetings.

I have a patient-centred and evidence-based approach, combining the latest interventional techniques with clear communication and personalised care to achieve the best possible outcomes.
