About me

Are you feeling anxious, stuck, really down, or like you're not good enough? Maybe work is feeling overwhelming, and you can't get the work-life balance right. Perhaps you have experienced a recent trauma, which is giving you flashbacks or even difficulties in childhood, which you feel are causing you to avoid, react or repeat patterns. Or maybe you're not sure what's bothering you, or you don't know where to begin. Life can be complicated and challenging, and it's completely normal to need support along the way. I'm here to help. Together, we can create a supportive space where you can begin to understand yourself. I can guide you as you explore what's going on in your life and help you find new, meaningful ways forward.

I offer a place where you can 'come as you are', where you can reflect on the difficulties or problems you are experiencing in a confidential environment with someone from outside your day-to-day life. In our work together, my aim is to offer a safe and supportive space where you feel truly heard, understood without judgment, and gently challenged when helpful. You'll have the chance to explore how you became the person you are today, how your relationships have taken shape, and what changes you might want to make in your life. We can look at the thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations that may be holding you back. Through this process, you can begin to develop new ways of supporting yourself, such as managing difficult emotions, making sense of your thoughts, and relating more healthily to others. The goal is for you to feel more able to care for and protect yourself, and to make the changes that feel right for you.

I have extensive experience working as a psychotherapist, having recently left the Leeds Women's Counselling and Therapy Service, where I was a psychotherapist working with women who had experienced childhood trauma. Before that, I worked in psychotherapy roles at colleges, schools and the care sector.

I hold an MA in Psychotherapy (with distinction), a PGDip in Counselling and Psychotherapy (with distinction), and I am a qualified Transactional Analyst, having spent four years studying and gaining my diploma, as well as UKCP registration, along with specific trauma-focused training. I have BACP accreditation status and am a qualified EMDR therapist registered with the UK EMDR Association.

As a fully qualified, experienced psychotherapist, I am fully committed to being the best I can and am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and a member of the UK Association of Transactional Analysis (UKATA). I abide by their code of ethics, which underpins all my work.
