About me
I am a BACP-accredited counsellor and psychotherapist offering a relational, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Alongside private practice, I currently work within a Perinatal Team supporting women during pregnancy and the first year after birth.
Pregnancy, birth, infertility, loss, and early parenthood can bring profound emotional shifts, questions around identity and self-worth, and memories from our own experiences of being cared for. These experiences can affect not only biological mothers, but also fathers and adoptive parents.
I also recognise that loss can take many forms throughout life through bereavement, separation, changing relationships, life transitions, or losing connection with ourselves.
Many people come to therapy feeling emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in repeating patterns, exhausted from holding everything together, or unsure why certain emotions and relationships feel difficult to navigate. Some clients want space to process emotions openly, while others value reflection, gentle challenge, insight, or practical tools they can carry into daily life. Together, we create space to explore these experiences with curiosity, compassion, and honesty.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you as an individual. I work holistically, paying attention to thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, behaviours, and relational dynamics, while also considering the influence of family systems, culture, upbringing, and environment. Therapy can help us understand the story we hold about ourselves, where it came from, and how we might begin to relate to ourselves differently.
Clients often describe therapy with me as grounding, insightful, and supportive. Many say they leave sessions feeling more self-aware, less self-critical, and better able to navigate relationships, boundaries, and difficult emotions with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Whether you are looking for support with a specific issue or simply feel that something no longer feels sustainable, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
