About me

Dr Victor Oguntolu is a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes with extensive experience in specialist clinical care, service leadership, research, and medical education. He is the Clinical Lead for Diabetes across the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and previously served as Clinical Director for Specialist Medicine at Medway NHS Foundation Trust until 2023. He has also held the role of Clinical Lead for Endocrinology and Diabetes at the same Trust.

Dr Oguntolu's specialist practice covers the full spectrum of endocrinology and diabetes. His areas of expertise include thyroid disease, pituitary disorders, adrenal endocrinology, parathyroid and metabolic bone disease, reproductive endocrinology, obesity, and the management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, including insulin pump therapy.

He is the lead for endocrinology and insulin pump service at medway hospital, He co-developed the Medway Adrenal Service and chairs the Medway Adrenal multidisciplinary team, in addition to chairing the Kent ICB Integrated Delivery Network.

He completed specialist training in endocrinology and diabetes in London and the South East Thames region, with training at King's College London, where he also obtained an MSc in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Prior to his work at Medway, he held consultant posts at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

Dr Oguntolu is active in clinical research with multiple publications in endocrinology and diabetes. He is a Postgraduate PACES examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and also undertakes medico-legal work and DVLA Group 2 licence assessments.
