About me

I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over a decade of experience, specialising in complex cataract surgery and corneal conditions. I currently serve as the Consultant Lead for Cataract Services at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, where I oversee the delivery of high-quality cataract care.

As a Fellow of both the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and the European Board of Ophthalmology, I am a dual board-certified eye surgeon. I also hold the UK specialist certificate in laser and refractive surgery (CertLRS).

I perform and supervise around 100 cataract surgeries each month. For patients considering private cataract and refractive lens exchange surgery, I offer same-day bilateral cataract procedures using needle-free topical anaesthesia, which provides a comfortable experience and fast visual recovery with minimal discomfort.

I graduated from the University of Cambridge and completed my ophthalmology training in Wales, followed by advanced fellowship experience in cornea and anterior segment surgery. My practice also includes conjunctival procedures and corneal transplants.

I am a Surgical Skills Faculty Trainer at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, where I teach and mentor the next generation of eye surgeons. I am committed to delivering safe, patient-centred care, particularly for patients seeking to restore their vision and independence through cataract surgery.
