About me
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL33249) and the British Psychological Society. I provide therapy for adults with a wide range of personal and emotional difficulties.
I recognise that many patients enter therapy feeling high levels of distress. I offer a sensitive and compassionate approach, working collaboratively with patients in order to bring about release, insight, change, and resolution in a safe and confidential setting.
I have a broad range of experience, but I specialise in depression and anxiety. The last position I held in the NHS was in a Complex Depression and Anxiety Service where I provided individual therapy utilising an integrative therapeutic approach drawing on dynamic interpersonal therapy and CBT.
What to expect in your first session?
In your first session I will ask you questions about the problems you are having and your aims for therapy, in order to tailor a therapeutic approach to your individual needs. I will invite any questions you may have about my role, training, and experience, or about therapy in general. This will also help us ascertain whether we are a good match, and if I am the right therapist for you. It may be important for you to take some time after these sessions to decide if you want to continue and book subsequent sessions.
