About me
Dr Qureshi is an experienced Consultant Haematologist offering private consultations for a wide range of blood disorders. She is currently based at Meriden Hospital.
Dr Qureshi is passionate about delivering safe, evidence-based, and personalised care. She is committed to improving access and reducing wait times for patients, and actively supports clinical trials to offer innovative treatment options where appropriate.
Her training and academic journey reflect a consistent commitment to clinical excellence and medical education. After graduating with distinction in Medicine from Newcastle University in 2011, she gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2013. She further consolidated her specialist haematology expertise by attaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2020.
In 2025, Dr Qureshi completed a Master's degree in Genomic Medicine from the University of Exeter, equipping her with the latest knowledge in genomic diagnostics and its application to personalised haematological care. This additional training enhances her ability to incorporate cutting-edge scientific advances into routine clinical decision-making, particularly in cancer diagnostics, risk stratification and enrolment into clinical trials.
Dr Qureshi is also a committed medical educator and has achieved dual accreditation as an Educator and Supervisor with the Royal College of Physicians in both 2022 and 2024. She actively contributes to postgraduate medical education and supervises junior doctors in training. Her involvement in formal teaching, mentorship, and educational leadership underscores her holistic approach to clinical care and service development.
She is widely recognised for her leadership in service improvement. While working at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, she was awarded the Best Services for Local People Trust Award in 2022 for her role in improving haematology services, a testament to her focus on patient-centred innovation.
In addition to her NHS work, Dr Qureshi now offers private consultations in general haematology, with a strong focus on timely and patient-tailored care. She is committed to maintaining high standards in diagnosis, follow-up, and long-term management and is actively involved in clinical trials to ensure patients have access to emerging therapies and novel treatments. Based at Meriden Hospital, Coventry, her private practice provides accessible, patient-centred care underpinned by her active NHS consultant role at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW).
