About me
Dr Mohammed Abdul-latif is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a specialist interest in urological and gynaecological malignancies, as well as complex brachytherapy. He serves as the Clinical Lead for the brachytherapy department at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, where he delivers advanced brachytherapy treatments for a range of cancers.

Following graduation, he undertook postgraduate training in North London hospitals, rotating through general medicine and clinical oncology. He has completed a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Oncology and a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) at the University of Manchester under the supervision of Professor Peter Hoskin. His doctoral research focused on the role of functional MRI in cervical cancer. He continues to publish academic work and regularly presents at international conferences, including ESTRO.
Dr Abdul-latif is trained in the delivery of complex brachytherapy for gynaecological, urological, oesophageal, and rectal cancers, including contact radiotherapy. He also performs interstitial treatments for rarer cancers such as those of the skin, breast, and soft tissues. He routinely implants hydrogel spacers (SpaceOAR) as part of prostate cancer treatment protocols.
