About me

I am a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Cambridge University Hospitals and GenesisCare Newmarket, caring for people with prostate, bladder and breast cancers at all stages of their journey. I provide systemic therapies and radiotherapy, including brachytherapy, and also work with Sciensus Homecare to support patients receiving treatment safely in their own homes.

Alongside cancer treatment itself, I place strong emphasis on supportive care. I have written several of the Cambridge University Hospitals guidelines on managing treatment side effects and completed specialist ESMO training in supportive care to help patients maintain their quality of life during and after treatment.

My research focuses on developing simple blood tests (circulating tumour DNA) to guide cancer care and reduce the need for invasive monitoring. This work has been recognised through national awards, research funding and presentations at international meetings.

I contribute nationally through the Royal College of Radiologists and as a case reviewer for the National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcomes and Death. Teaching and mentoring are also important to me, and I have received multiple commendations for the teaching I provide to Cambridge medical students.

I trained in medicine at Oxford and Cambridge, with further study in G�ttingen and Freiburg. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to receive academic and clinical prizes, but what I value most is the opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to every patient I see.
