About me
Choosing the right surgeon for your treatment is an important decision as having surgery is a very personal and sometimes daunting process. It is reassuring for patients to know that they will be looked after by a fully qualified, experienced and dedicated Hand Surgeon
Christos Kitsis has more than 20 years experience in Orthopaedics. After qualifying as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1998 he worked in senior positions for three years before becoming a Consultant. During completion of fellowships at Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital and at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby he gained wide experience in Hand Surgery. He obtained the European Diploma in Hand Surgery after passing the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand exams. Subsequently he completed a PhD thesis in wrist surgery (scaphoid non-union).
Mr Kitsis has been a Consultant Hand Surgeon since 2001 developing, delivering and managing the Hand Surgery Service at Queens Hospital, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He is a fully dedicated Hand Surgeon and does not undertake any other Orthopaedic work. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care within a safe environment.
