Professor Faiz Mumtaz (MD, FRCS Eng, FRCS Urol)
Consultant Urological Surgeon: Royal Free Hospital
Professor of Urology: University College London.

Faiz Mumtaz had his postgraduate urological training in London at Royal Free Hospital and University college London. He has over the last 18 years developed a specialist interest in laparoscopic and robotic renal surgery. His expertise also includes surgery for renal tumours involving the cava/atrium as well as cytoreductive surgery to remove large kidney tumours prior to or following targeted immunotherapy for kidney cancer.
He has established robotic renal surgical practice at the Royal Free Hospital and now routinely performs robotic removal of kidney tumours and reconstruction of obstructed kidneys. He also performs laparoscopic surgery for kidney and ureteric stones.
In addition to his specialist interest in renal surgery he is able to offer assessment and treatment for general urological conditions such as enlargement of prostate gland, elevated PSA, haematuria, urinary tract symptoms, circumcision and erectile dysfunction.
He is also the Director of renal cancer fellowship program at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He is the external examiner and a supervisor for postgraduate research degrees (MD and PhD). He also chairs the Kidney cancer research foundation which is actively involved in fundraising.
He is also a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons (England). He has published widely and presented at both the national and international urological conferences.
