About me
Mr Lukasz Polanski is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and accredited Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. He holds a substantive NHS consultant post at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, where he provides expert care in fertility, reproductive endocrinology, adolescent and general gynaecology. He works at Bourn Hall Fertility Clinic providing care to patients and couples seeking fertility treatment.
He completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the East of England, followed by subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London. He has completed a PhD thesis at the University of Nottingham investigating factors associated with in vitro fertilisation outcome predictors. His clinical interests include diagnosis and management of subfertility including ovulation induction, management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premature ovarian failure, lack of periods, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, early pregnancy care, investigations and management of recurrent pregnancy loss, minimally invasive surgery including hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures, and advanced fertility treatments including IVF. He is an expert in gynaecology scanning. He is also actively involved in medical education and regularly teaches on ultrasound and fertility training courses.
In private practice, Mr Polanski sees patients at Cambridge Spire Lea Hospital, offering individualised care with a patient-centred approach. The languages spoken include English and Polish and consultations can be carried out in these languages.
Mr Polanski is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the British Fertility Society (BFS), The British Society for Gynaecological Imaging (BSGI), The British Society for Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology (BritSPAG), and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
He is committed to providing safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care for all his patients. For his care of patients experiencing pregnancy loss, in March 2025, he has been awarded the Special Recognition Award in the category 'OBGYN of The Year' by Mariposa International and The Saying Goodbye Foundation.
