About me
Mr Stefan Weitzel has been a NHS & Independent Sector Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultant in South London since 2004.
Whilst working extensively in the area of the lower limb he has developed a major interest in foot & ankle surgery. Mr Weitzel is the most experienced foot & ankle specialist in the areas of Greenwich, Bexley & Bromley, and runs a comprehensive Foot & Ankle Service (Southeast London Foot & Ankle Clinic - www.selfac.co.uk). This work includes bunion surgery, any forms of forefoot reconstruction, ankle replacement & arthroscopic ankle & hindfoot fusion, minimally invasive techniques & innovative non-operative treatment such as injectional therapy (steroid, hyaluronic acid derivatives & biologics such as platelet-rich-plasma).
Stefan is also very experienced general lower limb surgeon competent in knee arthroscopy and primary hip & knee replacement.
To demonstrate consistent good & often excellent outcomes Stefan has followed patients' outcomes over time both by clinical followup and independent remote outcome collection, which engages patients in their postoperative recovery process.
