About me
Miss Olivia Li is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cataract, cornea, ocular surface disease including dry eye, and general eye conditions. She has a particular expertise in advanced multifocal intraocular lens technology, helping her cataract patients achieve greater independence from glasses and a wider range of vision.
Educated at Cambridge University and Imperial College London, she went on to train extensively at Moorfields Eye Hospital and in the US at Harvard University Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
She is Service Director for Ophthalmology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, leading clinical care with a focus on safety, compassion, and innovation. She also holds an Honorary Consultant appointment at The Royal Marsden Hospital, managing patients with eye problems related to cancer and its treatments.
Previously, she was a Locum Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital in emergency ophthalmology and completed two prestigious fellowships in cornea, external eye disease, and laser refractive surgery, serving as Chief Cornea Fellow at Moorfields.
Her research spans keratoconus, advanced lens technology in cataract surgery, and artificial intelligence. She is regularly invited to speak on AI in healthcare and has advised both local and national bodies. A Sub-Editor for the Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology, she has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles.
