About me
Hinson Kei is a Lead Podiatrist at a tertiary National Health Service centre, with a specialist interest in the management of diabetic foot complications and musculoskeletal foot and ankle disorders. He has previously held senior clinical roles at one of the United Kingdom's leading diabetic foot centres, contributing to the management of complex, high risk foot pathology within multidisciplinary teams.
His clinical expertise includes the assessment and management of diabetic foot disease, wound care, and advanced wound therapies. He also provides corticosteroid and Curacorn injections, alongside insole therapy for a wide range of musculoskeletal foot and ankle conditions. He is a podiatrist prescriber and delivers multimodal management of fungal nail conditions.
Hinson offers same day access to X ray and MRI imaging where clinically indicated, and requests relevant investigations including blood tests and microbiology samples as required to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
He is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry and the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Hinson holds a Master's degree in Musculoskeletal Medicine, with a particular interest in offloading the high risk foot. He is also an honorary lecturer and an active researcher, with publications in peer reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
