About me
I trained as a CBT therapist in 2009 before widening my repertoire of therapeutic approaches during my doctoral level qualification in the field of clinical psychology in 2011-2014. I work intergratively utilising my specialist training in cognitive and behavioural approaches, combined with attachment based interventions, drawing upon my knowledge and experience of cognitive analytical techniques and psychodynamic perspectives. This means I am able to tailor evidence-based interventions to your unique presentation. I treat a wide range of common mental health problems ranging from depression and anxiety to complex Post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders and difficulties with emotional regulation.
Areas of interest
I have an interest in working with complex trauma, whether that be a single incident trauma such as a car crash or multiple traumas such as childhood sexual abuse, historical domestic violence and emotional abuse/ neglect. I work with working aged adults aged 18-65 and I have 19 years experience of working in mental health settings within the NHS. I am regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist and I am accredit with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
