About me

Dr Ify Mordi is a Consultant Cardiologist in NHS Tayside and a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Dundee. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh before commencing his initial medical training in the West of Scotland rotation. He completed his medical doctorate at the University of Glasgow for which he was awarded the Bellahouston Medal for best Doctoral thesis.

As well as his clinical practice Dr Mordi also has an active role in clinical research and is the lead investigator for a number of national and international clinical trials. Recognising his research he was awarded a British Heart Foundation personal fellowship in 2024 and his work has been featured and won prizes nationally and internationally. In 2025 he was selected as an "Emerging Leader in Cardiology" by the World Heart Federation. His research activity ensures that he is at the forefront of current clinical practice and he has contributed to national and international research groups including the European Society of Cardiology.

Dr Mordi welcomes seeing all general cardiology conditions, and has a particular specialist interest in assessment of breathlessness, chest pain, heart failure, cardiometabolic disease and hypertension.
