About me
I am a consultant anaesthetist in Paediatric Anaesthesia. My NHS job involves the preoperative care of children of all ages, many with complex medical conditions, undergoing complex surgery. I also have a special interest in the management of anxiety in children, and I am a co-director of Poems for Children and I am now a co-director of the Charity. This runs a unique course offering training to health professionals in how to minimise anxiety in children by improving our communication with them.
Areas of interest
Ear nose and throat surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, urology surgery and general surgery and orthopaedic surgery.
I have a special interest in managing anxious children and I have trained as clinical hypnotherapist.
