About me

Mr Pollock specialises in the management of hip and knee conditions as well as bone and soft tissue tumours throughout the body. He is the Clinical Director of the Joint Reconstruction and Sarcoma Units at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital where he was appointed as a Consultant in 2004. He has extensive experience in first time and revision hip and knee replacements and limb salvage surgery for musculo-skeletal tumours.

He qualified at University College London in 1993 with a first class honours degree. His orthopaedic training took place in various London teaching hospitals including UCLH, St Mary's and the RNOH. He then undertook fellowships in Sydney, Australia and Denver, USA where he gained experience in hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, and the management of bone tumours.

In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious American, British and Canadian (ABC) Fellowship by the British Orthopaedic Association. He spent six weeks visiting the premier orthopaedic clinics in North America and the experience he gained has been of great benefit to him and his patients.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, British Hip Society, British Association for Surgery of the Knee, British Orthopaedic Oncology Society and European Musculo-Skeletal Oncology Society.
