About me

I am a qualified counsellor with over 18 years of experience supporting young people aged 1118. I have worked extensively within a local high school and previously volunteered at a bereavement charity. I continue to work in school settings alongside running a private practice dedicated to supporting young people.

My professional background spans a wide range of educational environments, giving me a deep understanding of the emotional, developmental, and social challenges young people face. I also have valuable insight into the daily workings of schools, which enables me to collaborate effectively with young people.

I have particular expertise in supporting neurodiverse young people and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, and learning differences. My approach is compassionate and tailored to each individual, recognising the unique strengths and needs of every young person. I aim to help them feel seen, understood, and empowered to navigate both school life and the wider world.

I work from a trauma-informed perspective, which means I understand how past experienceswhether clearly recognised or more subtlecan affect how we think, feel, and function today. You won't need to revisit everything in detail to move forward. Instead, we'll work at your pace, with safety, trust, and compassion at the heart of our sessions.

Whether you're experiencing stress, anxiety, low self-worth, difficulties in relationships, or a general sense that life isn't where you want it to be, I offer a confidential space where you can talk openly and without judgement.

What you can expect when working with me:

A grounded, professional, and trauma-informed approach

Therapy tailored to your individual needs, drawing from a range of counselling models

Support in recognising and shifting unhelpful patterns

Practical tools to manage current and future challenges

A warm, non-judgemental space to explore, grow, and feel more in control

Therapy is a powerful step toward understanding yourself and making meaningful change. If you're ready to begin that journey, please get in touch. I'm here to support you.

My aim is to help clients understand the issues that may be preventing them from moving forward, while also equipping them with practical tools and skills to manage life's challenges more confidently in the future.
