About me

Hello, my name is Sheila and I work in the UK with over 17 years of professional experience.
I have much experience helping clients with a broad range of symptoms, thoughts and feelings which include low mood, depression, loss and bereavement, anxiety, low self-esteem, confidence, relationship and work-related matters.
I hope to work with you in a comfortable and safe environment where your thoughts, feelings and emotions can be shared without any fear of them being judged. Please contact me if you would like to ask me any questions around how you may be feeling.
Below I have shared a brief overview of how I work with clients and some meanings of the clinical titles.
Thank you and bye for now, Sheila.
The style of support I offer fits under the name of 'Integrative'. The Integrative way of working is a combination of non-direct and direct approaches or ways of working with a client.
What this means is that I can and will tailor how I support you to your own unique and individual wants and needs, to try and help you to reach any goal/s you may have.
We can discuss this and I will answer and help you understanding the different style or types of support I am qualified in and can offer you before we start working through your appointments.
Here is a brief overview of approaches I am qualified in my private practice.
Non direct Therapy includes the approach of Person-Centred Approach or talking therapy, this may be beneficial for clients feeling of low mood, different types of losses such as bereavement, loss of employment, loss of identity, loss of meaning and purpose and loneliness.
Direct Therapy includes approaches such as, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or CBT which may be beneficial for clients trying change any habits which may have become a negative behaviour in your every day and to try and replace any possible learnt behaviour with something more positive. This can be achieved by me offering and sharing various techniques and methods, which may help you to manage stress, anxiety, work related stress and other stressors including relationship and work-related struggles, in an alternative way.
