About me
Dr Weaver qualified from Oxford in 1993 and subsequently trained in Oxford, Bath, Cambridge, Sydney and Bournemouth. During his training he completed a PhD in inflammation at the University of Bath and specialised in Inflammatory Bowel Disease � Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. As a consultant he has been a national colonoscopy trainer and a national bowel cancer screening colonscopist.
Dr Weaver has developed an interest in patient safety and quality improvement and was the national quality improvement lead for inflammatory bowel disease for the Royal College of Physicians. He has had a number of national roles in safety and subsequently worked as Medical Director for Quality and Safety at University Hospitals Dorset. He is also deputy Medical Director for the Invited Reviews service at the Royal College of Physicians.
He remains a practicing gastroenterologist with a special interest in gut disease and colonoscopy
